3. Tomato: Take a teaspoon of tomato juice and mix it with one teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply this mixture with the help of a cotton ball on your eyes and under eyes area and leave it for 15 minutes.Then, wash the affected area with cold water. Follow this remedy twice a day to remove dark circles.Also, drinking a glass of tomato juice with fresh mint leaves, lemon juice and salt will also help a lot in getting rid of dark circles. 4. Rose Water: Take cotton eye pads and soak them in rose water for few minutes. Put these soaked eye pads on your closed eyelids and keep them for 10-15 minutes. The eyes perform one of the most important functions of the body and it is very important to take good care of them. Things you need to know about your eyes and tips for eye care are as follows:

 

1. Headaches can be caused by eye strain and they can get worse by extensive use of eyes.

2. Good lighting is important to make reading easier and prevent eye fatigue.

3. Using computers will not harm the eyes. However, sitting long hours before the computer can strain the eyes.

4. Maintain a distance of 12 inches between the eye and the object while reading and writing. It is important to consciously relax the eyes and their surrounding tissues, as a lot of eye problems are due to eye strain. The strain causes the eye muscles to lose their elasticity which results in a week eyesight.

5. Briskly rub your palms together until they are warm and then placed the cupped palms over your closed eyes. Repeat this exercise as often as you can during the daytime.

6. Cultivate the habit of blinking regularly to prevent eye fatigue. Try to blink once every 30 seconds to relax the eyes. This is simple but a very effective method to release the eye stress.

7. Wake up before sunrise, fill your mouth with water, close eyes and sprinkle water on them about 10-15 times. Do not use hot water for this.

8. Wash eyes with triphala water. For preparing this ayurvedic solution, soak a teaspoon of triphala in a glass of water overnight, then strain and use.

9. Cold water is an excellent way to refresh and relax the eyes and the surrounding tissues. Splash cold water 12 to 15 times over your closed eyes.

10. Eating raw cabbage and carrots or drinking their juice is very beneficial for eyes.

Do these simple exercises mentioned below which will help you to improve vision.

(a)Up and down movements: Look to the ceiling and then down to the floor without moving your head. Repeat this exercise 12 times.

(b)Side-to-side movements: Look to the right side without moving your head and then to the left side. Repeat this exercise 12 times.

(c)Circular movements: Slowly roll your eyes in a clockwise manner, in a circular movement. Then repeat the same action in an anti-clockwise direction. Repeat this exercise 12 times.

(d)Sit in a comfortable position. Light a candle at least 4 feet away from yourself and gaze at the candle. If your eyes water close them and relax. After a few seconds begin gazing again. Do this at least three times.

(e)Take a wide mouthed bowl of cold water. Tilt your head downward and put your open right eye in the water and rotate the eyeball. Repeat this with the left eye. Do this 5 times with each eye.
